On a Dual 2.66 GHz Dual Core Mac Pro tower in our test lab, sixteen real-time instances of MX4 produce a reading of around 50% on the processor usage meter. Each instance is loaded with the "Leader FM" preset set to polyphonic mode for eight 2-oscillator voices each, plus a filter, chorus and delay. If we switch them all to pre-render mode, the meter drops to near 0% and we can then instantiate 37 pre-rendered instances.
