Software updates add value to your MOTU hardware
This week, we've released across-the-board driver and software updates for all MOTU FireWire, USB, Hybrid, and PCI-424 audio interfaces for both Mac and Windows platforms. In addition to numerous maintenance enhancements, several significant software updates add additional value to several MOTU interface lines.
A new universal audio installer for Mac OS X
For Mac OS X, we've created a consolidated universal audio installer that ensures that all MOTU driver and software components for both audio and MIDI interface operation are up-to-date and compatible. Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later is recommended, including Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion).
A new universal audio installer for Windows
For Windows 7, Vista, and XP, we've created a consolidated universal audio installer that ensures that all MOTU driver and software components for both audio and MIDI interface operation are up-to-date and compatible. 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported. The minimum required legacy Windows versions are Vista SP2 and XP SP3.
CueMix FX for PCI-424 systems
Do you own a 2408mk3, 24I/O, HD192 or other PCI-424 system? You'll be glad to learn that MOTU's well-regarded CueMix FX software is now compatible with your PCI-424 system. This means you can use one software interface for all your MOTU audio hardware. Plus, you also get to use CueMix FX's advanced signal analysis tools, including a full-screen real-time FFT display, spectrogram "waterfall" display, oscilloscope, X-Y plot and linear or polar phase analysis.
More proof that MOTU hardware delivers lasting value
MOTU PCI systems continue to offer lasting value by fully supporting today's latest Mac OS X and Windows systems, with value-added driver and software updates and an economical PCI card upgrade path.
The same can be said for many legacy MOTU hardware products that are still supported, including the 1224, 1296, 2408, 2408mkII, 24i, 308, 828, 828mkII, 896, 896HD, Traveler, and the UltraLite. Just more proof that MOTU hardware offers lasting value, year after year.
Update USB MIDI drivers and a new cross-platform ClockWorks
New USB MIDI installers posted this week provide updated drivers for all MOTU USB MIDI interfaces for both Mac OS X and Windows.
The update includes a completely rewritten version of ClockWorks, a cross-platform application for today's latest Intel-native, 32- and 64-bit operating systems on both Mac and Windows. Note: not all MOTU MIDI interface products use ClockWorks. Supported products include: MIDI Timepiece AV, MIDI Express XT, micro express, and the Digital Timepiece.
Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later is recommended, including Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion).
Windows support includes Windows 7, Vista and XP. The minimum required legacy Windows versions are Vista SP2 and XP SP3.
