For your convenience, the sounds on each DVD are supplied in the form of a single, encapsulated "UFS" (universal file system) file, which you should copy to your hard drive(s). You can then mount the UFS as a disc image in MachFive's File Browser.

DVD 1 – Universal Loops & Instruments

This DVD provides approximately 8GB of multi-sample instruments, loops, phrases and even MachFive synth instruments (which contain no samples). You'll find plenty of drum loops, acoustic drum kits, electronic drum kits, acoustic pianos, electric pianos, church organs, electric organs, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, strings, brass, woodwinds, synths, ethnic instruments, voices, percussion, sound design, sound effects, and more.

Of the four discs, DVD 1 is the most versatile collection of sounds, spanning a wide variety of musical genres, eras, geographical regions and cultural styles. If you are looking for variety, DVD 1 is the place to start.

DVD 2 – MachFive Concert Grand

The MachFive Concert Grand™ piano was recorded especially for MachFive in a world class studio by a talented and respected sound engineer.

Originally recorded in at 24 bit 192 kHz resolution with the very best recording hardware, converters and microphones, the samples were converted to 24 bit 96 kHz with Digital Performer's best quality sample rate conversion feature, which produces absolutely zero harmonic distortion in the audible range (below 22 kHz).

Each note was carefully multi-sampled on five velocity levels for both normal playing and with the sustain pedal pressed. Thanks to MachFive's advanced keygroup layers and rule switching, the sustain pedal and release samples perform and "feel" like a real piano: with Pedal On mode, MachFive plays the sustain layer and only plays the release layer when the pedal is released.

DVD 3 – High- Resolution & Surround Instruments

96K Electric Piano

This famous electric piano was recorded in 24 bit 192 kHz resolution with the best hardware and then converted to 24 bit 96 kHz with Digital Performer's best quality sample rate conversion feature, which produces absolutely zero harmonic distortion in the audible range (below 22 kHz). Each note was carefully multi-sampled with up to twelve velocity levels and release samples.

96K Guitars and Bass

The 96K Guitars and Bass presets are provided in 24-bit 96 kHz resolution with advanced multi-sampling and editing. Samples were produced from the very best guitar and bass instruments, including: Guild™, Martin™, Les Paul™, Fender™ Stratocaster, Jazz Bass and others.

192K Drum Kits

The 192K Drum Kits were recorded especially for MachFive in a world class studio by a talented and respected sound engineer.

Originally recorded in at 24 bit 192 kHz resolution with the very best recording hardware, converters and microphones, the complete drum kit was carefully multi-sampled with many velocity levels with both sticks and brushes. The samples were then converted to 24 bit 96 kHz with Digital Performer's best quality sample rate conversion feature, which produces absolutely zero harmonic distortion in the audible range (below 22 kHz).

192K Percussion

These Percussion samples are offered at 24-bit 192 kHz resolution.

Surround Orchestra

These orchestra instrument prests were recorded in four-channel surround by a talended and respected sound engineer, especially for MachFive, in a world-class studio in Moscow. Presets with KS in their name indicate that they use rule keyswitching to switch among several layers.

Surround drum loops

These quad-channel drum loops were produced from the same recording session as the 192K drum kit presets.

Surround Church Organ

These church organ samples first made their debut in the MachFive 1 soundbank DVD and are a favorite among MachFive users.

DVD 4 – VSL Orchestra MachFive Edition

The sounds on DVD 4 have been licensed by special arrangement from the acclaimed Vienna Symphonic Library collection (www.vsl.co.at). This is an exclusive collection of some of the very finest sounds produced by perhaps the most respected name in orchestra library collections.
