MachFive - The universal sampler
Layers and Rules
MachFive 2 uses unlimited keygroups and unlimited layers to easily create complex presets with dynamic behaviors.
Organize with Layers
Layers take your presets into the next dimension; with unlimited keygroups and unlimited layers, you can create three-dimensional presets with ease. Use layers to stack samples while keeping each group of samples quickly accessible. Layers let you import other presets as a new layer in the current part to create multi-dimensional macro presets.
With or without overlapping samples, layers help you quickly identify and select groups of similar keygroups.
Dynamic performance with Rules
Layers provide the base for MachFive 2's rules-based programming. Use rules like keyswitching, MIDI control, release triggers, randomization, legato, and more to transform your static preset into a dynamic and sophisticated instrument.
Want to create a sampled violin instrument where every other MIDI note triggers a different set of samples for authentic up and down bow strokes, a snare drum which triggers a random snare sample every time to provide maximum realism, or a brass ensemble where keyswitches trigger different articulations? Rules have you covered.
Import rules from third-party formats
MachFive 2's layers and rules make third-party formats transparent. Layers and rules are automatically imported when loading multi-dimensional third-party formats like Gigasampler.
