Trigger the loop to play from a MIDI note - at any tempo or pitch

Set AutoPlay to trigger the audio when you press play in your sequencer application

Loop Lab™ gives you auto trigger options. You can set a latch mode that triggers your loop as soon as you press play in sequencer. You can also set the loop to start playing on the next bar or beat to stay perfectly synchronized with your music

Slice audio into individual beats

Loop Lab™ allows you to slice audio into individual beats. Use a sensitivity slider for batch operation. Manually create, mute, delete, or lock beat slice divisions. Click on any beat to audition.

Trigger slices with MIDI notes

As soon as audio is sliced into beats in Loop Lab™, those slices are assigned to discrete MIDI notes and can be triggered in real time.

Edit slices with ADS envelope and Slice Extension parameters

Beat slices allow you to change loop tempos without time stretching the audio. For example, this means your cymbal crash won't get turned into a gong. But what happens when you change the tempo of the MIDI notes that trigger the slices? Loop Lab™ provides beat extension and beat amplitude envelope controls to provide smooth transitions between beat slices at any tempo.

Find or set loop tempo

If you know the tempo of your loop, you can set it manually. If you don't know the tempo of the audio, Loop Lab™ can find it for you using the Slice Machine.

Drag both MIDI and audio files from Loop Lab to your desktop or tracks in your sequencer

Edited and tempo-adjusted audio loops can be dragged to the desktop or directly into tracks of your sequencer.

MIDI data can also be generated from the sliced loop and dragged to the desktop (as a Standard MIDI File) or to a sequencer track. The MIDI data contains the timing and durations of the beat slices. This MIDI data can then be played back to trigger the beat slices. Of course that means you can edit the MIDI data to re-sequence your beats. You could even use the MIDI data extracted from one loop to trigger slices in a different loop, effectively "stealing the groove" from one loop and applying it to another.

Use Loop Lab™ to create instrument presets within MachFive 2

Convert the work you do in Loop Lab™ to MachFive 2 instrument presets. Combine your sliced beat elements with other samples and instruments. Add effects to indivual beat slices. From start to finish, Loop Lab™ lets you create and manipulate killer loops and beats!
