Sound Design

MachFive 2 offers a complete set of tools for sound creation and manipulation.

Sonic Building Blocks

Drag audio from the desktop or your sequencer directly into MachFive 2. Customize existing instruments. Combine Raw Oscillators and Harmonic Organ Emulators with Samples to create complex, layered sounds. Add LFOs, Envelopes, Filters, Effects and real-time performance control. No need to settle for 'canned' sounds. With MachFive 2 you can create your own unlimited libraries of customized sounds and instruments.

Filters

MachFive 2 provides two assignable Filters per Keygroup. There are fourteen different types of Filters available.

Drive and Variable Topology

MachFive 2 provides three different types of Filter Drive. Variable Topology allows for twenty-four different combinations of Filters and Drive.

LFOs

MachFive 2 provides four assignable LFOs per Keygroup. MachFive provides another four assignable Global LFOs per instrument Part. Choose LFO Shape, Delay, Rise Time, and Speed, including Sync to sequence tempo.

Modulation

Everything's up for grabs with MachFive 2's extensive automation and modulation matrix. Right-click nearly every parameter to add another level of control.

And you're not limited to MIDI controllers - control your sound with sources like velocity, aftertouch (mono and poly), key, LFOs, envelopes, and more.

When even that's not enough, MachFive 2 gives you Mappers. Mappers let you remap the value range of a modulator to custom tailor its response. Using mappers you can create complex responses like velocity crossfades using your controller's mod wheel, giving pitch bend independent ranges for pitch up and pitch down, and even step sequencer-like pitch modulation.

Envelopes

Envelope generators are available for Amplitude, Filters, Pitch, and three user-assignable destinations. Choose from AHDSR (Attack-Hold-Decay-Sustain-Release) or unlimited Multi-Point Envelopes. Synchronize envelopes to sequence tempo. Choose factory preset Envelopes or create, store and recall your own.
