Can I use my MOTU hardware with 64-bit versions of Windows? Does my software work with 64-bit versions of Windows?

To use 64-bit applications, plug-ins, or device drivers on Windows, a PC with a 64-bit processor and a 64-bit version of Windows are required.

Hardware

We have drivers for our FireWire/USB2 audio interfaces, FireWire video interface, PCI-424 audio interfaces, PCI video interfaces, and USB MIDI interfaces to operate with 64-bit versions of Windows. The minimum drivers required with 64-bit versions of Windows 7, Vista, and XP are:

  • FireWire/USB2 Audio 3.6.6.0
  • FireWire Video 4.0.4.1723
  • PCI-424 Audio 1.6.6.10
  • PCI Video 4.0.4.6284
  • USB MIDI 1.0.1.1

Software

The following versions or later are required for native 64-bit operation of the VST plug-in or standalone application with Windows 7 or Windows Vista:

  • BPM 1.0.5
  • Electric Keys 1.0.2
  • Ethno Instrument 2.0

As Pro Tools is not yet available as a 64-bit native application, 64-bit native RTAS versions are not yet available. Please check back at motu.com for announcements.

The following versions or later support 32-bit operation with 64-bit versions of Windows 7, Vista, or XP:

  • BPM 1.0
  • Electric Keys 1.0
  • Ethno Instrument 1.0.1
  • MachFive 2.0.2
  • Symphonic Instrument 1.1.3
