MOTU 8pre (FireWire model): noise on left Main Out channel
A few customers have reported hearing a noise or whine coming from the 8pre's left Main Output channel. We have found that factory resetting the 8pre will resolve this issue.
To factory reset the 8pre, disconnect the FireWire cable and hold in the Volume knob until you see a "D?". Then, turn the Volume knob to the right until the LED display reads "OK". The interface is now reset.
