My computer does not see my MOTU PCI interface

  • Make sure the most current PCI driver is installed, which can be obtained in our downloads section.
  • Try connecting the unit to a different AudioWire port on the PCI card.
  • Test the AudioWire ports on the PCI card by using another MOTU PCI interface
  • Try using another AudioWire cable.
  • Try installing the unit on another computer, making sure to install the proper drivers first. The computer can be a Mac or PC.
  • For the 2408/2408mk2/2408mk3, does the unit work when it is not connected to the PCI card? (see your manual for details on using your 2408 in standalone mode)
  • Note that if you have a G5 and wish to continue using your MOTU audiowire interface but are using a PCI-324 card you will need to upgrade to the PCI-424 card. This is also true if you are using a PCI-324 card and have a PC that uses hyperthreading technology or 3.3 volt PCI slots. PCI-424 upgrade orders can be placed via the MOTU Online Store or by calling MOTU Customer Service.
