What tools do I need to remove the rack ears on my interface?
The removable rack ears can be unscrewed by using a 7/64 hex screwdriver or wrench. This applies to our interfaces with removable rack ears, including:
- 2408mkIII
- 24I/O
- 828mkII
- 828mk3
- 896HD
- UltraLite
- 8pre
- MIDI Express 128
- micro lite
- micro express (bus-powered model only)
Note that the Traveler has a different style of rack ears, which can be removed with a regular slotted or Phillips-head screwdriver.
