Jordan begins the performance by employing key switching among three alternate bagpipe articulations: standard (sustain) and two grace note articulations. The fiddle is accompanied by layered highland percussion, as are the Uillean pipes, and then all three instruments trade-off with layered percussion adding a percussive element to the instrumentation.
